Still on the wagon!

July 2, 2008

It’s a little over three months since I first started to lose the excess bulk. I’m down 35 pounds – including 3.4 pounds this last week. My clothes are fitting better and I feel great. I did catch myself sliding back into the old self-damaging routine of fast food, but I put a stop to that.

I’ve hit the gym hard the last couple weeks and got a chance to catch up with my old trainer. On a depressing note, I learned that he has been recalled to marines and is being sent back to Iraq. He was working out in preparation of the training he will get before heading overseas. I wish him luck and hope he takes care of himself.

Alright, I have my next weight-in tomorrow.  Last week I lost no pounds.  That’s right – goose egg.  A little disappointing…but I was traveling and eating out of a hotel room.  Before the diet I would have gained a couple pounds.  So, I’ll take it as a moral victory.

To help accellerate things I started working out again.  I think I should be back on track this week.

Second Weigh-in

March 26, 2008

I had my second weigh-in yesterday – down 1.6 pounds.  Not a huge loss, but I’m happy considering it included an Easter dinner.

Starting Weight: 385.4
This Week: 373.8
Difference: -1.6
Total: -11.6

I just got back from my first week weight -in. I am ten pounds lighter than before starting. It feels good to be heading in the right direction. Ten pounds is a lot of weight to loose in a week. The first couple weeks are suppose to big losses. After that I should expect about 1-2 lbs per week.

This next week I plan on hitting the gym twice. That should be the next step.

Starting Weight: 385.4
This Week: 375.4
Difference: -10
Total: -10
